Outworlder, you have travelled wearily from some far-flung corner of the galaxy, across countless light years through the black expanse of space; now you find yourself crash-landed, your ship torn apart, your body cold, your stomach hungry, and your eyes searching for your destiny. An open-ended sandbox awaits you, from nothing you will desperately scavenge and mine for survival until you command settlements of dutiful underlings, master local ecosystems, battle interlopers and beast alike, and find hidden truths scattered across the inhospitable landscapes of alien worlds teeming with great dangers, and great rewards. Travel the stars to plant your roots across several worlds and make a name fit for a legend in this sci-fi, survival, colony management experience!

Colony Management

Though you begin alone, with very little to your name, Outworlder will provide you with the opportunity to discover NPCs who will ultimately join you in your endeavors. Delegate tasks, have them research technology, build items, maintain base systems, cook food, farm, join you in exploration (and combat!), and defend your bases from raiders, alien entities, and other vicious enemies.
Build them a base of operations, provide your base with power, food, heating, entertainment, and comfort to meet their needs. Recruit specialized NPCs such as gunsmiths, doctors, cooks, radio operators, administrators, engineers, and countless more. Find friends, convert some, bribe others, and, worst case scenario, capture the more difficult ones and convince them to join your cause. Build the perfect, efficient colony. A place to call home.

Survival

Feel the sting of cold, the sear of heat, or the glow of radiation as you make your way across varied planets with their own unique conditions. Craft (or have your colonists craft for you) the equipment you need and outfit yourself for the challenges ahead, along with any friends you choose to bring with you.
Outworlder offers living, breathing worlds with animals and creatures who interact with each other, harbor differing player interactions, and perform unique, distinguishable behaviors.
Make your way across planets covered with sheets of ice, blankets of desert sand, oceans of water, or far more strange, alien environs. Survival will demand vigilance. Keep an eye on your temperature and your need for sustenance. Battle maladies such as poisoning, bleeding, and sickness.
And keep in mind, your colonists have all the needs you do.

Space Exploration

Once you’ve established a foothold on your first planet, reach for the stars and travel through space with your very own starships – all with unique classes and designs. Build shuttlecraft that can ferry resources between starship and planet-bound colonies, or fill them with vehicles or mechs to facilitate exploration across the faces of alien planets.
Find derelict starship wrecks, make contact with space stations and moon bases, explore alien ghost ships, and of course, make planetfall in order to expand your interstellar empire.
Who knows what treasures you will find, or even new friends for your colonies?

CURRENT STATUS

Thus far we have the rudiments of colony management implemented, NPC recruitment, needs fulfillment, and etcetera. Space travel is not yet implemented, nor are vehicles or Z-doors. More varied biomes are incoming, as are other amenities such as farming. NPCs can be automated to complete basic orders assigned at work benches. This is a very early stage in our development.
